Esra Üzmez received her bachelor’s degree from Boğaziçi University in Translation & Interpreting Studies. She has advanced linguistic knowledge in Turkish, English, and Spanish, an in-depth understanding of the culture and institutions of these languages, is equipped with theoretical and critical skills as well as practical skills in the field of translation and interpreting.
 

As a professional translator and language instructor, Esra Üzmez has a proven record of 6 years of experience in the language industry. During her undergraduate studies and afterwards, she worked as a professional translator for several clients and companies of different sectors including PR, marketing, media, and publishing industries. She specializes in various fields including marketing and communications, business, technical translation, and website & social media localisation, as well as audio-visual translation (subtitle & dubbing).
 

As a multilingual professional, Esra Üzmez has years of teaching languages as a private tutor. She has provided private lessons for English as a Second Language (ESL) learners of all levels, as well as English for Academic Purposes (EAP) lessons for students of higher education. She has also worked with exchange students and provided Spanish & English lessons and collaborated with university students and prepared them for BUEPT (Bogazici University Proficiency Exam) and the international exams, such as IELTS and TOEFL. In addition to private tuition, Esra Üzmez has experience in teaching group classes for students and professionals. In addition to her undergraduate degree and work experience, she attended pedagogical formation training, and upon completion, she started working at Üskudar University as an English Preparatory Program Instructor. As a university language instructor, she taught academic skills to undergraduate students and carried out other job responsibilities, such as translating faculty documents and conducting grammar & speaking clubs.
